Default Rs Turbo --> Omex , Cossie ISCV quick question..

Hi ,

Can any one tell me what the resistance should be across the pins on a Cossie ISCV ?

mine reads 7 ohms , wondering if its goosed because I'm planning on using it for my Omex 600 conversion on my Escort Rs and the manual says must be >12 Ohms.

Many thanks,

Why use a cossy iscv if going stanadalone? there are other throttle bodies available that are as good or if not better than a cosy one.
I personally use a cavalier v6 64mm unit

I can think of better throttle bodies as the cossy one works I agree however many complain of a dented bonnet.
I personally would use anything but.
an advantage of the cossy one is that it has the iscv built into the body but the downsides are they dent your bonnet.
I am yet to see someone with one fitted not complain of a dented bonnet.
as said I use a Vectra/calibre/cavalier v6 with an external ISCV.
if staying cossy id be inclined to buy a new iscv anyway.
as for OHMS across the pin range I cannot help, try messaging rsmat on here he should be able to test across his on his rst for you

I have but he's a busy man.

I found a spec sheet on line and they should be 6 - 8 OHMs so mines ok. just trying to establish if OMEX 600 will run it because the hardware installation manual says it must be over 12 Ohms .(?) the guys at Motorsport electronics say ME221 ECU will run it but OMEX seem

to have a wider market etc.

Bonnet is raised anyway so should be ok.

thanks for the input
