Default Escort MK4 ZETEC swap

Hello.
Since i noticed that the 1.4 engine in my escort has started to tick and rattle (rod bearings) and i cant find another running 1.4 engine over here (and its slow as shit) then the zetec swap from a mondeo came into my mind.

Ive read that quite a few people have done this swap but i still have some questions.

1. Does the 2.0 96kw engine from mk2 mondeo fit straight in the engine compartment of an escort?
2. Which driveshafts and transmission do i have to use?
3. What do i have to modify/make myself in order for the engine to run?

All other info about this conversion is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Did the swap myself earlier this year, found this guide very helpful

https://passionford.com/forum/ford-e...onversion.html

Note : make sure you don't forget to cut the small piece out of the ledge by the top rear engine mount. I did & ruined the tensioner!

it's on page four about halfway down

...also just below there on the inner wing by where the water pump pulley's going to go, give it a big whack with a lump hammer! It's very close once it's all in mine's actually taken the paint off the inner wing with the small pulley bolts, when cornering left I guess
