It was my first car show with the cossie in over 3 years. It's a local show to me too. I really enjoyed the show. The track action was really good and there was some nice cars on show too.

This Mk2 fiesta was a bloody flying machine. There was a BMW M3 V8 and this fiesta was keeping up to it.

There was alot of the newer fords there. I think there was less than 15 saff cossies there.

 

might be worth getting your geometry checked out, 1st picture of your car the rear camber looks a mile out

I wanted to come in my sapphire but she had a hissy fit last week and I am awaiting new parts for it.

It must just be the way its parked cause I know it sits fine matey.

 

The friend of the owner said it was a fully forged 1.8 zetec. He said the car only weighed 850kg.

 

I was set to go but was out on Saturday night and 1 beer leads to another and I didn’t see Sunday morning so didn’t make it from the pics ive seen looks like it was quiet could have been because Combe had been on on Saturday looked like there was some nice cars there

I wonder what Ford Fair is like these days. I bet that's full of the new Fords.

It is. Mostly because there are a lot more of them about and their owners drive them, rather than hiding them in garages moaning that the shows are full of new Fords

 

Its the time of the focus/fiesta......roll back 15/20yrs ago and it was all rs turbos & cossys....and the focus is an affordable car to dip into owning an rs.....

Generic shows will attract all types but whatever's popular will outweigh the few....ive seen 4 focus rs's around Lincoln today....

The prices of these old Fords are going up so people are starting not to use them as much.

 

Yeah, people have become a bit precious about them now, and a lot of them are passing into the hands of collector/speculator/hoarder types, who won't drive them. It's happening to Evos and the like too I notice.

 

Yeh it's such a shame. These cars need to be driven.

I've noticed that I hardly see any Imprezas about these days. Before they were 10 a penny.

Hi Glen, great pics, i was there too great day, a bit quieter than past years though i thought, not many stalls at all, my car was supposed to be on the XR stand but the alternator decided to give up the day before and couldnt get one, im local too, i live in Eston but work in Darlo

 

That rs200 gets about, over the years I've seen it at different shows and in other people's pics at various places

 

Where abouts in darlo do you work??

 

The bloke who owns it and the RS1700t is a really nice guy. He must be retired and this is what he must do,ie car shows.

Cheers for the pics, was a half decent show, just hope it transitions back into the old format, but it was nice to see it back up and running again regardless The 700 mile roundtrip was worth it, managed a night out on Friday and a few more beers on the Saturday as well.

I have been told im excluded fron any RSOC activities for life pmsl went to Combe and always fancied doing croft but never managed to

 

I thought you were right in with the RSoc. I fancy going to Combe but its miles away.

 

The people in the club mostly are good Glenn but the committee are unbelievably fuckin shocking lol so jacked that and the local group moons ago buddy

 

I stopped paying my subscription to the RSOC ages ago.

No I did politely tell them who the fuck do they think they are and to get fucked lol who goes to National Day anyway worth there sorts anyway lol ! But the the committee get more a more hierarchy as time goes on and really believe that there building a elitist club of old ford rs's lol and do even less for the members and when facebook groups get more of a following I cant see how they get anywhere lol.

I dont do any socail media anymore or shows anymore the focus is locked up and never gets used either the older i get the less bothered Ive become Steve mate . I love the car so itll stay put until I get the enthusiasm to use it but with some people along with getting involved in the rsoc its beat the life out of me
