Hi all. I've ended up with my Father in laws pride and joy, his 2000 mk1 2.0 Ghia which he's had since new. It's got 90k on the clock and anyone would think it's a Bentley the way he looked after it.

He's so in love with it that it's just been sitting there driving my mother in law mad since they got their new car as he refused to sell it.

Anyway i agreed to buy it off him for £200, that way it gets it off the drive and he can still come round and wash it.

Problem is it's a dodgy light green colour.

Anything i can do to slightly improve the asthetic appeal, maybe some alloys and slightly lowered.

Would the ST170 alloys look okay do you think? Or as its such good condition should i just keep it OEM?

What do you reckon?

 

I forgot to mention, it's been garaged since day 1. I was reading that these might be future classics but i'd imagine that's optomistic. Thinking about it, probably worth keeping completely standard.

I have a track car and a family wagon.

 

Find a nice dry storage place for it and take a chance on it being a modern classic in another 15 years or so.
