Default Mk2 XR2 Fuel problem

Hello. New to this site. My Mk2 Fiesta XR2 has been sat and not started for 7 years. I have changed spark plugs, it leads, distributer cap and battery. Also put new petrol in. But it still won't start. It is getting no petrol to the carbrettor. So obviously was thinking fuel pump. Anyone able to help? Or have any other suggestions?? Thank Luke.

Fuel pump will be siezed after all that time. You’ll need to replace the rubber hoses aswell as they will split first bit of pressure

Also if you have'nt already got one ,fit a new in-line fuel filter, as after 7 years there could be muck in the system.

Fuel and filters probably gunked up and pump will be seized. For the cost and knowing your not gonna be recirculating shite, just replace the lot, wont be much.
