Mk2 focus st seat

Is there a common fault with the drivers seat mine squeaks and moves about. I’ve read about a ford warranty fix? Anyone know about what that involves or know what wears or breaks. Before I take mine apart.

A common problem with these cars,there's a bar that snaps on the seat that needs re_welding.
maybe yours has just cracked causing the noise

I welded up mine after it snapped, as above it seems a fairly common problem.

Yeah I’ve read a few things on line. I got mine cheap so has a few too do list jobs lol. Once the seats out and flipped over can you see the bar or is it a full seal strip
