N8A and N9A Engine Difference
Hi everyone,
I have been an owner of the Sierra 2.0 for a couple of months and just noticed this brilliant forum.
However, I am having issues with my n9a engine and changing the engine completely is way cheaper.
My question is can I use the bottom end of the n8a carbureted engine and use my n9c cylinder head?
I would be very thankful for your answers.
Cheers

Thanks very much for the answers. The engine is dead now because the timing chain snapped. Before that the engine was burning oil about 1 litre for 250 km. Because the rebuild of that engine is extremely expensive I just thought of buying an engine from a crashed car which is way more cheaper thank rebuilding the old one.
Edit: I asked because I was not sure about the bottom end of the two engines. Some say there are differences. But I think the differences are just in the cylinder head ?! Injectors, etc...
