PLEASE READ THIS FIRST

There are 2 points for which people want chip banned:

1. The harsh remarks made to the newbie, EMZ

- I think 99.99% of people agree they were over the line, especially given the age of the girl and the fact she was a newbie.

- When Chip realised he had done wrong and she was offended he apologised (before he was told by any MOD he was in the wrong)

-Emz has accepted his apology and stated herself she wants him to be given a second chance.

-Chip has said he is deeply sorry and it will not happen again.

2. The Rape comment.

-He made a comment that was disgusting to SOME, especially those who dont know the history behind it...

-This comment was made about a memeber who chip knows very well and who finds it funny and obviously not offended by it.

- As I said on the other thread, this is the same (to some extent) as me saying to Smit I am going to gouge your eyes out and skull fuck you at national day.

the reason it is the same is Smit would nto find it offensive as he knows I am joking and not be offended by it and other people who knew I know smit and would be joking would ALSO find it funny.

I would not be banned for doing the above.......

Chip was given no prior warning by a MOD before he was banned.

Just tried. I dont know how to Plus, like I said before, they are now relevant because people have voted (and it counts as a yes, just with a little humour). If you can edit it so it just says something like "yes. edited" then feel free mate...

whats the point in sending someone a PM saying "warning, your about to be banned asta lavist baby" when they cant read it because they have just been banned?

 

Like I keep saying he SHOULD be let back......he apologised as soon as I told him emz was offended.......he even did it publicly on here, AS WELL AS MSN...it takes a big man to do that as far as im concerned....and just so everyone knows I've actually NEVER spoken to chip, could pass him in the street and not have a clue who he is, but as far as I see it, he deserves a second chance FFS he apologised BEFORE he got banned and AS SOON as he realised he had upset her, does that not count for anything???


Yes he made a comment about rape, no it shouldn't be made a joke of, but he explained what he meant by it, and it you take the time to look at the convos between him and Rach (MissT16) you'll realise where he was coming from.....yet again he apologised for it.......its fooking hard to apologise DAMN even I can't do it!!!!!!!

if they cant read it because they are banned then it isnt a PRIOR warning you muppet.

the point was that he should have been warned earlier by a mod that he was out of order etc and given a chance to rectify the situation (which in fact he had already done, not that you noticed ) , not just banned instantly

I don't think Chip should be banned but I don't see why mods should have to tell people how to behave. Just keep the dodgy comments inside the head wether you claim to have keyboard tourettes or not.

Without wanting to stir up shit, having read alot if chip's posts, the guys a wanker, however much he says hes only messing about, he rarely gives any positive comments, and jumps at every chance to put someone down.

So, i'd say get rid of him.....

I ban a member of passionford for making a fookin obscene and discusting comment about raping a fellow passionford member and it turns back on me? any other website and mod would have done the same.

For starters the vote is currently 64% to 35%, but not that many people have voted. We have over 10000 members and I'm guessing the majority of them couldn't care less. And I feel people are more likely to vote in support rather than vote against, just purely because of human nature.

The majority is not always necessarily right you know!

Rape comment was bang out of order. Seems a nice guy with loads of knowledge but went a bit far i think. Not something i'd joke about.

 

Actaully people are more like to vote against, thats real human nature.
When someone likes a company they mention them a few times to their mates, when someone feels ripped off by a company thy go on and on about it for ages, so these sorts of polls always skew AGAINST the recipient.

Plus the vote isnt really 65% at all is it?
Because 20% of the votes were in the second yes option (with rainbird mentioned in it) so its more like 80% of the votes are yes votes really, and i suspect halfof those are probably the mods all backing each other up anyway.

Mr Manchester claims to have banned in the first place based on a comment about rape, that comment though according to the posts people have made in here was several months old, was direted specifically at one member who took it in humour because they knew the person making the comment and offended no one at the time.
Mike is often telling IMA that is he is going to butt fuck him, well guess what, men DO get raped too, and find it just as much of a trauma, so he is equally at fault too, and the same goes for dozens of other regular members, who could all be offending male rape victims with their comments.

Complete and total farse the whole thing, Mr Manchester took a comment totally out of context, blew it all out of proportion, banned a user based on it and then lied about it afterwards when he said that no apology would have been given if it wasnt for the ban when the reality of the situation is that he knew full well an apology was given because he said he read the whole 6 page thread and the apology was in there made many hours earlier, he lied about it cause he could see that he needed to try and sway the opinion of the people he should have been representing in the first place, most of whom enjoy that sort of humour, no doubt mr manchester thinks every comedian in the world should be locked up cause they ALL offend someone somewhere along the lines.

Its a complete case of the mods all now just closing ranks and carrying on with the same action just for the sake of looking united, even though this poll shows that they are united against 80% of people who have expressed an opinion on the matter. (including the ones that one of the mods deleted the votes for)


This debate shouldnt even exist, a mod should have sent a warning saying the comments shold be stopped, thats the only action that any mod needed to do, but Mr Manchester went straight for a ban instead for reasons only known to him and his shrink.

For the 500th time, Chip wasn't joking about rape per se!

Chip was simply having an "in-joke" with a mate, that has been taken completely out of context.

I made a similar style of joke to someone who I know on here the other day, so how come I'm not banned?

 

Why quote it then,as the person he joking with left the site over a month ago.

i'm getting a bit flocking sick of reading about this now - someone lock all threads about it and refer them to the sin-bin - passionford does not need this shit or bad publicity - whats done is done, and whats has been done is for a reason. end of.

People are more likely not to get involved in my opinion, especially if they did not witness the original post, whereas all of Chip's mates are going to make a point of voting!
