Default 1.8 cvh HELP

Hi I have a Sierra 1.8 cvh it broke the belt cos water pump gave up . So I fitted a new timing belt kit and new pump . It started up but it runs very lumpy . Any ideas wat needs fixing ? Wud it be my timing ? I turned the engine over by hand twice with all the spark plugs removed so it wud be easier .. Just to make sure there was no bent valves and it turned over nice and free by hand . Any help /advice wud be so good as I’m new to the site . Thanks

the timing is obvious first place to get right, if its correct, you need to run a compression test to establish which valves are bent

It's probably when the pump sized, valves got bent.
