finally getting close to finishing the barsteward so i thought id post up a pic or two!

been putting a CVH into it over the last few months. its taken a while due to time and money problems, but im almost there!

its had mk2 xr brakes put on and fully adjustable avos on the front aswell!!







it runs but as the carbs werent properly serviced before i had the engine, and theyve sat for a while they need a refurb. plan to chuck a DFT on it while i do this, plus itll break me in gently to the power of the thing, the engine was dyno'd at 148bhp @ fly before i had it... its now got a proper exhuast on it (2.5" side exit ) and new ignition so should be a bit up on that!

failed my test yesterday (wanker examiner....got 3 minors... and an arsehole undertaking me made him fail me!!!! ) so ive got time to finish it off properly. going to reloom it, repaint the bay and refit new/cleaned parts as the engine bay is minging. while the dash is out for the reloom im gonna weld in an airbox into the bulkhead so i can fit larger trumpets. hopeing to do this while im off college for 1/2 term in a couple of weeks.

picked up some slicks on sunday to, avons, slighly worn but will be spot on for some 1/4 mile runs or 0-60 attempts!! gonna try and get some cheap S2 rims and paint em black - super hard



low profile so not much if any bigger than the 13's on there atm!!

you need to sort the bonnet dint it really shows in the front on pictures

yeh - proper sleeper from the outside!!

 

its an alloy one for a mk1 xr2, forget the make but i picked it up brand new, boxed for Ł25

im getting a fibre glass one soon, hence why im not fussed about the dent or the rust on the front edge!


cheers for the comments lads, and yes...it will be suprising a few motors round here when its done! hoping to have it fully sorted and doing some 0-60 runs at trax this year, so keep your eyes peeled (and ears!!) for an inocent looking mk1 on slicks

the wheels are only to stick his slicks on i think mate

 

quality tyers need to but the grill back on like looks a bit dogy with out it

engines coming out for some work next week. going to tidy the bay up, weld the airbox in, do a few other bits and pieces will post pics of the 'new' engine bay when its done.

seen a S2 LSD for sale aswell...tempted to put that in a mk1 xr box and swap it over when the current box breaks.
