I have an XR2i race car and I’m having issues with a sloppy gear linkage.
I have nearly buzzed the head already going from 3rd to 4th and getting 2nd.
ive also got 5th when trying to change down from 4th.
There is no play in the swivel link at the gearbox end but it seems to have a fair amount of play under the stick.
is there such thing as a reconditioning kit?
is anyone else selling one second hand?
Are there alternatives other than puma?
not having a centralising detent is not ideal for a race car when changing gear quickly.
id appreciate any help/advice.

Update, I have taken the linkage apart and the spherical rubber bush had slipped out of place causing a lot of slop. I have reseated it and it feels a lot tighter.
i have concerns wether it will slip off again. Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can get this rubber bush replaced etc?
any other fords use a similar design that I could take the bush from?
