focus mk2 2009 rear brake drum query
How easy is it to adjust the brakes? I have a slight imbalance according to my mot.
is the hub held on with one of them nuts which are made up of lots of different layers of metal? Does this need to be replaced?

I've just been told now from a ford tech that its a different setup to what i mentioned in my first post. Apparently there are 4 bolts that need to be removed from behind the drum instead, does that sound right?
Not actually looked, I assumed it did hence asking about replacing the nut but have since been told it is a different setup and there isnt one. I couldn't find the torque setting for tightening the nut either, I guess this is because there isn't one?

Infact if you look at these drums you will see they have 2 holes that you can screw bolts into to force the drum off the hub, but if its mega tight it will rip the threads out the drums, as I said above I shock them free.
Wheels off, handbrake off, smack the drum on the flat face near the wheel studs, might take a few whacks. Don't destroy the wheel studs either lol
No hub nuts need touching as they don't have one.
Also if i could ask for some more advice,
the rear brake imbalance, I'm guessing this could be worn shoes, faulty cylinder or the the drum could be full of crap? as it hasn't been off in the 3 1/2 years I've owned the car. as there self adjusting is there anything else it could be?

No you have covered most likely issues. If the cylinder isn't leaking and the pistons are free, it could be worn shoes or a build up of shite. They might just want a clean out and a bit of manual adjustment.
