Hello, what models of camshaft are there for cvh n/a??

Mount a kent cams, but it lasted a short time.

Any ideas??

 

Newman solid cam profile. Pain to set up initially but worth it for the longetivity vs others

 

Only kentcams and newmans are manufactured??

Pipercams stopped manufacturing. More??

Now I have a cvh 33 kentcams and solid kent cams followers

Would it be crazy to mix newman cam and kent followers?

 

Yes that is not a good idea. The materials will not be matched and so will destroy one another

 

Best quality you can buy nowadays for a CVH is a Schrick camshaft. They only sell a 276° one, which is about the same as the car had factory-spec.

Be careful with camshafts that need "cam lobe". This means the companies use stone-age machines for grinding and finishing, so the last finish is done in YOUR engine. Which means you'll have the cam lube and little metal fragments in your engine and this is the last thing you'd like to have. And after all, this kind of "finish" is NEVER as good as when it's done by a proper and modern machine.
