Hiya,
I am currently restoring my Cossie and the insurance is up for renewal at the end of the month. I was wondering if any of you just insured the car as normal or if you had laid up insurance etc when restoring your vehicles.
Also, as more work is carried out the value of the vehicle will be going up, how do you deal with this and are insurance companies happy for you to send in pictures of the work to show that the value of the vehicle has increased.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
Cheers Simon

I looked at laid up policy and ruled it out on small cost saving and poor cover. Yes you can put the value on the car and send pics and costing s and ask for an agreed value...it does not guarantee you a payout though at that level.

I spoke to Need2Insure who I currently have my insurance with and for Fire, Theft & Accidental Damage it would be about Ł150 for the year with an agreed valuation based on what the expected value of the vehicle at the end of the build. I assume depending on where I am in the build it would effect a pay out should anything go wrong but I just wanted some cover just in case.
Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you wish. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back and they can discuss the various options open to you.
Regards,
Dan.
