Got a friend who has just bought a mk2 escort with a 2 litre pinto in it, looking at the Dellorto DHLA 40s, how good are they and are they particularly bad on fuel?
Sound awesome on full chat but itâs like open wallet surgery when u put your foot down, I wouldnât think anyone would be too concerned about fuel consumption with a car like that? Worth it for the noise alone I reckon
had some on my old car and very addictive but mine were very old and required constant setting up and needed a rebuild really

As you say they sound awesome when you are pushing hard, better noise than a straight through exhaust!! They will never be fitted with good mpg in mind, both of the cars I had were never much better than about 25mpg even when driving carefully!!
