has anyone got a wiring diagram for the alternator please

 

There are two connections, the heavy duty cable, which connects to the battery and the blue wire connects to the ignition light.

The ignition light takes a bit of thinking about as the light has an ignition fed live on the bulb, the blue wire goes to the alternator (as above) the blue wire acts as Earth when alternator not putting out power (light comes on) then when alt makes power you end up with 2 lives and no Earth so bulb goes off.
