my mates rs turbo battery light is constantly on (bought it like this)and the battery isnt charging. its had a new alternator and battery. we unsure of where the wires go. we know one is sensor for dash light. but does one go to battery and othe to starter? cheers

Thick ones part of the charging circuit and feeds back to the battery and thin one goes up to the dash to power the bulb.

The bulb powers the alternator by initiating the charge process, connect the thick wires to the alt and battery, then it should be ok, unless the alt is buggered, just touch a LIVE onto the IND terminal whilst engine is running, and this will start the charging process if ok, it would certainly appear to be as it is getting live through the bulb and earth from the alt(this IND changes to LIVE when outputting)
