There's loads around, £80-£100, wouldn't pay a penny more unless it's a brand new one

Yeah it's hard to get him to sell anything he don't need the money that's why. I borrowed one off him once so mine wasn't off the road when I pained it

A few breakers are selling them around the £120 mark. +£30 for a refurb and you've got yourself a brand spanking cover.

I refurbed mine myself using my chosen colour of spray paint and rubbing the top down using fine sandpaper and a flat sanding block to take it back to the alloy . Lasted well up until I broke it up for parts.

I am going to refurb mine and put it on my garage wall. I suspect I will just paint and rub down but did consider full refurb.

I need 1 as I want a mint red 1 without a breather hole, but I'm not paying £500 (unless it was new and I had had a few beers) so think he will be keeping it a while.

Couldn't you just get the hole welded up then repainted?

Pretty certain it could be welded up as long as it doesn't warp it then a bit of paint work and done?

Looks mint, but as costina seats, mine is the wrong cover,I should have a screw in oil cap so I'll still need another cover to start with.
I'll keep him in mind if I get a scruffy 1.
That cover looks mint!

Make my blood boil.
Also my pet hate! Greedy sellers who just think of a normal price and double or triple it and think they are doing you a favour!

Mine is a late 89 and that's screw on.
In a way i wish I'd sourced another before drilling the breather hole as it was original and mint

Again greedy people trying to make a buck, iv never paid more than £50 for cam covers even on eBay prices, few years back now but they never worth £500. Got offered one local to me recently for £300, complete dreamer told the guy too.

There is a good reason why so many are drilled though as they need the breather or are you going back to concourse orig? The way I see it is period mods look fine on show cars.
