I found many years ago that some Orion master cylinders are a bigger bore than the series 2 RS Turbo version.

Take a look at my website: link in sig - click on first (missing) picture to enter 'Escort Upgrades'. You'll find the Brakes section in the menu on the left hand side.

If it's one of those Compbrake pedal boxes bin it. If heard nothing but bad things about them, I got rid of mine before it even saw the road. If it's a proper floor mount as Nige says or I'm running .7 front .75 rear and the braking, so far, seems spot on.

pedal box should be just that. A box at the end of pedals housing the cylinders.

Not a box located the opposite side of engine bay linked by a bulkhead bracket bars and bodged jobs.

The problem with the mk3/4 is that they were designed the proper way round LHD. When converted to lame hand drive it got messed up with linkage bars. Hence brakes always have issues if not sorted right.

There will be a right up I done in fastford mag soon that will be a good read for you.
