Hi all,

First post on the forum, wondered if anyone could help me diagnose a diesel focus.

Car currently cranks but is not starting. Currently throwing p1200 code and low pressure and if repeated cranking then the glow plug light comes on and flashes. Fuel filter has been changed to rule out a blockage and metal fillings were found in the old fuel filter. Could metal indicate the pump has failed ?

I have tried quick start to no avail and car has new battery and recent glow plugs and fuel/oil filter but nothing has changed since the car was running.

Car has been serviced and lots of work has been done on the car. It has 130K on the clock.

Could anything else have been damaged at the same time?

I remember reading that the fuel filter needs to have fuel in it or it won't start as there would be air in the system. That can cause the no crank no start.
