i did mine when i rebuilt it and i used a kunifer pipe. i used 8mm stuff so it went stait into the old clips then i got compression fitting in an-6 to pipe in my fuel rail but i think you can get clips to run your old fuel piping into so you dont have to change the plastic stuff if you still have it
I got my tube from a company called ATEC in brackley, Northants but I had to change to graded hoses from the hard line at the pump & engine ends.
The hardline I got was an aluminium tube with a black polymer coating which is easy to form with a mini pipe bender.

i'm about to undertake this challenge shortly, but i'm using an in tank pump (023) and late efi tank. i'm considering using 3/8 pipes rather than 8mm OD so i have the potential for 500bhp if i ever fancy pushing it that hard. I think i'm just going to replace the feed and return pipes with 3/8 Kunifer, then also change the feed and return in the sender unit.

Also noticed that they now have a cancel pipe shaping machine which sounds interesting!
Never heard of that! What do you mean by work harden?
It's just mean as the material is worked it will become harder and more brittles. in a fuel pipe the variation will harden it over time and eventually it will crack and leak.
Don't get me wrong. I don't think copper will crack and break up really quickly but I did not want to be doing this again so just done everything to make it a one time job
I've not really swatted up on the product I used, I know it's used within motorsports so I suppose the lifespan in these circles wouldn't need to have any Longevity anyway!

I know what you mean! It will probably be less hassle in the long run and definitely cheaper, OK mine looks good but was a total brain/ball ache to do, trying to work out the best fittings to use and how to adapt them at each end.
It's ok if you work and do this sort of thing all the time but if like me most things I do on it is normally the first time and always a learning curve, and if I had found them ready made when I was looking I would have gone for that option also, just make sure they will fit the original adapters.
