Default All my electrics are going nuts

Right guys.. took the Saph out for a Saturday night rip up in London and broke down on the way home

Car died. put ignition on and everything electric is ticking like mad.

Can hear dizzy, coil, fuel pump, and injectors all ticking and pumping erratically on ignition.

Disconnected each one by one but non effected the other.
Tried to strengthen the earth with a jump lead from battery to body but no difference.
Only way to stop it all is by disconnecting the ecu.
Had a look inside ecu and appears fine. also looked at fuses and relays and nothing frazzled.

Just wanted to seek some advice before i start chasing my tail again with this car

Thanks.

I wonder if it is just a battery ending its life, I would start with a new battery if yours is over 3 yrs old or if the car has not been used a lot, then clean all the earths and maybe send off the ecu to be checked by MSD. The looms in the engine are known to fail with age so that would be a good swap out and not too hard to do (you might even persuade Rod Tarry to build one)

IIRC the engine loom earths via the two brown cables connected to the throttle cable bracket.
There is then an earth strap from one of the bellhousing bolts back to the battery, or maybe the battery tray.
First thing to check is that's still intact.
Pull the cover off the ECU plug and check the condition of those 2 earths on pins 1 and 19, ive seen these melted before.

If it's got ancryption board make sure the lid of the ECU is not pressing on the chip.

Have you still got fuseable links in positive feeds off battery? If so check for dry joints there as I had a similar event.

Right guys, thanks for all the input. all i can say is the plot thickens!

Gold star to Richie for making me go back and check fuses.

I had previously checked all fuses EXCEPT inline rad fan fuses as these have no relevance, or so i thought..
removed and replaced the two old corroded fuses, cleaned and wd40'd it all up and it fired straight up!!
So i decided to see if it would run without the fuses in, and it does

so basically even though its now running I dont feel like ive got to the bottom of this at all.
The fan loom was made by the previous owner, but all i can say is it runs from the battery, to 2x 30amp fuses (see pic) down to 2x relays, then off to rad temp sender and to rad fans.
Baffled as to how cleaning up the dry connections on a fan loom could stop my entire electrics go nuts?
