Default Buying a ford capri..

Im looking at buying a ford capri in the not too distant future, to run as my second car. Whats the crazk with classic car policies as the car will only be used on the odd sunny sunday so my annual milage in it should be very low. Can any one put me on to a classic car insurers?

Also, im looking at getting either the 2.8i or a 2.0. Whats the performance like in the two litre? Is it still fun to drive and tail happy as the bigger 2.8?

Thanks

Lewis

Both should be tail happy, the 2.0 mighht be more so if the 2.8i is a special or the brooklands as these two had an LSD, none of the other Capri's did.

The 30 year old LSD fitted to my RS3100 has certainly kept it a bit tamer when you thrash it. For normal driving the LSD makes a big difference for pulling away in a straight line!

You may plan "the car will only be used on the odd sunny sunday" but this will not happen cos you will fall in love with it. I reckon that anyway and I imagine a lot of other Capri owners would agree.

definitely end up using it more than you think.

first time you're out in the wet with plenty of petrol you'll get hooked or booked.
depending on where you do it
