I thought after 25 yrs your car became tax exempt aswell. At time I had 2dr mk3 cortina on M reg 1974 so end of 1999 I rang Dvla about it an was told its not case only cars registered pre 1973 counted for exemption. Be good if they did make it 25yr old I'd qualify for 2cars ;0)

I didn't realise the rolling 40 years had been instated, remember when the 25 years came in and my vw camper (a 1972) became exempt then a year later they stopped it.. All very strange and I am all for a rolling 25 years, might spur me on to get more old sh1t sitting in my unit..
