Default Dump Valve Advise

Hi Guys

I am running a Harvey Gibbs 380bhp engine...
T34.48
Siemens 55 Lb injectors etc...

At the moment i have no dump valve and get ALOT of chatter when i come off the accelerator.

What dump valve is best for the YB, i am not after a loud whoooooosh noise either.

Any advise on whats best to buy.

Thanks Guys

You need a recirculating type, as you don't want the noise.

Am I right in saying the spec-r ones are very similar to the Grahame Goode ones as in they both have a diaphragm and filters on them?
I currently have an msd twin piston one but I want something really loud

Each to their own but why do you want a really loud dump valve ? Fine on a rally car but on a road car?

I just like the noise tbh.
The one I have fitted now I just don't like the sound of.
If I could remove it I would but I have a gt series turbo so have been advised to keep one fitted

Cheers Paul

My 3dr has a bailey dump valve.
It's noisy and I quite like it tbh.

As I said if you like the dump valve noise its your choice, my 2wd has a 450bhp engine, goes like a rocket and has never had a dump valve. My ITG cone filter is inside a group A alloy air box and so chatter noise is hardly noticeable. I prefer the noise the engine makes without a dump valve but that is me.

If I could run my car without one I would, Turbo noise sounds the nuts.
The noiser the better for me.
I'm not keen on the noise the Bailey ones make.
Imo the diaphragm ones are better sounding than the piston ones...

Cheers Paul
