This isn't really a restorion project, more or less just gona get the car back to useable condition. I think the car is an original Lotus, but the lotus engine has went missing over the year's. I bought the car summer time last year and pushed it from the barn it'd been sitting in since 1997 with potatoe boxes piled all over it, freed up the brakes winched it on the trailer and got it home, as said the lotus engine isn't in the car but it has a pinto with some twin 40s when I got it home me and my dad cleaned the points put the fuel line in a can of petrol filled the carbs and after a bit of churning over it fired, but it wasnt running nice at all as you'd expect, I got the Webbers recond and a new inlet gasket on and now it takes over fine, so after knowing that I had a healthy enough engine I started stripping it to make a start on the bodywork, the car is all complete and at this stage the shell doesn't look to bad.
il update as I go along with as many pics as possible, cheers
Not at the minute anyway, just gona paint and weld the shell where it needs it and freshen up the pinto and drive it like that for a while, would it cost a lot to buy and rebuild a twin cam??

Yep even if you were lucky /handy with them still no change from 5k but doesn't half keep the value in it ! Stew

Yeah no doubt it'd raise the value of the car when finished, just can't afford it at the min, saying that my dad has a brand new one still in the crate...but there's not a hope in hell I'm ever see it in my car
