Hi I'm sam , this is my mk4 escort that im currently rebuilding, just trying to source an engine at the moment, going for zetec unit. Started out as a escort eclipse then was painted lotus laser blue, now going standard look with zetec power,

 

All looks good! Should be great fun once done, can't wait.

 

Yeah hope so, just trying to find the right engine so I can put it in and put front end back together then weld the sills and arches in, abit hard trying to find a silver top engine with the bits I want,

 

Hi can anyone help, I got a 2.0 blacktop out of a escort Si i'vE bolted my 1.3 5 speed , I'm guessing it would have the 1.8 clutch, flywheel, as had the inlet manifold marked as 1.8 so that should be all ok? Just want to no what engine mount I need, and what to do with it as in cut, weld cheers Sam,

Hello I am new to this just wanted to no I have just get an escort eclipse and in it at the moment there's a 1.3l same as this on want do I need to convert the engine to a 2.0l black top Mondao engine ie what gearbox, mounts, Ecu, loom etc thanks

 

Hi U need a RS turbo mount and need to cut mount and car mount to fit also I'm using my 1.3 gearbox but some put RS turbo LSD gearbox in, I'm using nodiz pro system 300 pound on eBay to run my bike carbs, need to change cam belt then Il get some pics of it in car,

Today got the engine test fitted , engine and body mount cut/welded ,

 

I take it your getting better at welding then?

Looking good in the bay, lll have to come round and have a good look again when its fitted for good.

 

Got some more cutting and welding for the inner wing bolt, then repaint engine bay again lol, sort manifold out for bike carbs as got cvh one ;-\ , cheapest i'vE seen 219.99 , also need jets fitting to carbs then bike fuel pump, then U can come oval lol,

 

Ive always wanted to buy a mk3 4 escort and put a zetec in it.

Hi everyone Finally got car back on its wheels today, but kinda popped drive shaft out of gearbox with bearing so that is f,,ked, so was thinking of putting 1.8 diesel gearbox drive shafts, hubs. Is it good idear or not?

 

Looking really good now, no clue about the drive shafts though. When are you about?

 

Hi just an update , got loads of wielding to do, e.g outer sills and inner sills and some flooring to do, and archers,

 

Few more pics of cutting out gay rust, and series one next project, and made a rack for me tools so I can actuality find them

 

Its getting there! When will we be seeing the engine going in? Cant be long now.

I think this will be ready for next years summer? Cutting it fine for this year.
