I've fitted my engine (mfi) first it wouldn't run other than from the cold start valve , I've fited a new metering unit , problem sorted , maybe not it runs but idles very high sounds really rough and I have a clanging like scanners in the rocker cover before I rip it to bits again any ideas of what it could be ? Was sat around after I built it for a while never expected it to sound like that

That was my first thought then I get nightmare thoughts lol
What do you think soak ther night in oil see if it helps ?
I don't want it to be valve guides or anything big will send me over the edge lol

 

Get the cover off and take a look, what's your oil pressure like?
