and then ended up on fire and this happened

 

Ouch any idea of the cause? Fuel hose perished?

 

was just about to say went for 25K in feb....., just seen my FB post then DOJJ

 

What a shame, do you know what happened?

That reminds me, I really need to carry a fire extinguisher

 

Man that must be heartbreaking for the owner :-(

 

Looked mint aswell,where did it catch fire,at the auction house or under the new owners care?

 

Apparently it was a burst fuel hose

Saw the pics on fb but this happened in Thursday from what I've been led to believe

 

Gutted. Such a shame.

Happened to my mates 2wd saph, luckily they were just coming back from shopping and had loadsa bottles of water and doctor pepper in the back. Fitted a fire extinguisher after he fixed it. Should have know with dp in the back, what's the worst that can happen?

 

A real shame as such a nice car before the fire, Hopefully the owner will make it live again...

 

Anybody know what hapened to this in the end, gone to a breaker ? or the owner buy it back to repair.

I don't think that could be rebuilt , the heat would have wreaked the shell , you can see the tailgate gap on the passenger rear quarter . Sad sight

 

Anybody remember a very old max power mag with the French yellow escort cosworth in it,iirc a woman who was involved with a car magazine owned it.
It had been burnt to a crisp and that was supposedly rebuilt into the car that was featured using its original burnt shell.
I have had a couple of cars burnt out and there's no way you would consider using a burnt shell as everything goes out of shape due to heat,plus the mess of broken glass/plastic.

 

I will have the boot badge.


Very sad sight, feel very sorry for the owner.
