Default mk1 focus st tuning

How much power can the standard st engine handle seen the 300 bhp conversions can a good standard engine handle this power and be reliable would you also need an uprated clutch.

Focus ST170? Seen the bottom end handle 300-350 zone on turbocharged examples, probably at the standard revs though, no idea how high you can safely rev them. Yes you'll need an uprated clutch. Are you looking at forced induction on naturally aspirated?

Ah right, well I've seen a few in the 400+ zone, but I think they have the blocks modified to cope, but they seem to be reliable done properly, you'll still need an uprated clutch, no ford as far as I can think has a very strong clutch.

at 300bhp you will be fine, above that people either get an RS engine or have the blocks modified to cope. An RS clutch will help handle the power
