Default Mondeo 2.0 tdci 2008

Anything i should be looking out for on one of these with 115k on the clock? Full service history.

Really tempted but put a tad,
are injectors and flywheels an issue on these?

Yeh injectors and dmf are common for going faulty.

Just like most modern diesels

Find clutch and flywheel issues more likely on low mileage cars driven around town. Rear bushes and suspension components have issues so check those.

Still go and have a look, it's got full history so should have the bills for any work done. Suspension issues you would still have with a petrol version.

If it's a 2008 it'll be a mk4 so it's the PSA engine, which are generally pretty good. Only thing that put me off the 2.0 is they have DPFs and electronic EGRs that like to go wrong on anything diesel.

It'll also be due a cambelt so make sure it's been done or you can factor the cost in to the car's price.

I went for the 1.8tdci that doesn't have a dpf and an egr you can blank off, on the road they perform pretty much the same as the 2.0 and easily return 52mpg+.

Cambelts are a piece of piss on them, very rarely done an injector, flywheel or egr on them. Despite being a Citroen engine and hating French stuff I must admit the engines are pretty good.
Bonnet cables snap if not well lubricated. Dpf sensor pipes go brittle and break. But that's about it.

We had an 09 plate 2.0TDCI, was no bother after 100K I think they got round most of the problems Mk3's had. Best car we ever owned, but like others have said, the rear bushes will go whether it's petrol or diesel, and are a c##t to remove. I don't know if Ford will sell a whole arm with the bush already in, but I'll go for that any day over changing the friggin thing

Noisy power steering pump is caused by blocked filter in the reservoir, common on mondeos and a new reservoir is only a few quid new.

The car just didn't seem worth what it was advertised for and the owner wasn't willing to move on price.
It pulled well but drove like shit, Steering felt horrible, The steering wheel didn't return to center and felt like the brakes were warped whne pressed.

I bought a 2008 Ford Focus instead with much less mileage
