Hi all, advice needed please:
I visited the Ford showroom this morning who provided me with the radio code, why then, does it not key in.
It states Code: and following the usual, easy instructions to key the numbers in.... Does not work.
Any ideas please.... Thank you

 

What model of stereo is it and how are you trying to enter the code? And did they actually take the stereo out to get the serial number or just quote you the code for what the original stereo should be in the car?

 

It's not a simple case of punching the numbers in. If code is 2457 for example, press button 1 2 times, button 2 4 times button 3 5 times button 4 7 times. Then it's either button 5 or 6 to enter.

Hi Trevor, thanks for your message:
The radio was taken out and the serial number was used by the dealership, to find the code.
They put the radio back in but did not key in the code, that was left to me!!!!
The radio is a Ford, model number: 6000AUX
I know how to key the code in, using the method of pressing 1, 2 etc, its just coming up with all Zero's though.
I hope all this makes sense !!

As with your suggestion, that is how I was attempting to key in the code
This is what I tried to do as you suggested but only comes up with Zero's.

Yes, that has occurred, it states 'waiting' then after a while states 'code' again, even on the first attempt, it still won't let me key in the code......all zero's !
