Default eBay Sapphire Rear Lights?

Anyone know what these are like?

Being unsuccessfully looking for a genuine set and can't fine any!

Only £47 the pair (I seen a new Ford set go for £186!)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2520090592...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Are they gonna look shit or only difference being the markings?

What's wrong with that?

I assume all Saph rear lights are interchangeable. Mine should have Ambers but has smoked on it now.

Bargain!

I'd go with them over some overpriced faded leaky 25 year old OE ones!

Nothing at all. I thought the guy selling them meant they replaced the smoked lights, but smoked lights came after the ambers didn't they??

They must have been a good buy as it says they are now out of stock!

Returned for a full refund!

Now before I say anything, I genuinely can't fault the seller... He has been 100% helpful!

Basically,
-Turned up and 1 was cracked (About 1" long at the top),
-They were not a matching pair. (Different brands)
-I tried to fit the 'Good' one and wouldn't fit correctly, There's 6 studs on the light to slide into the car and then tighten the nut on the inside. And it won't line without filling the holes on the car. (Which I don't want to do as the original ones sit perfectly!)

Admittedly seller has said he's never had a fitting problem, So maybe it was a one off.

So Smoked back on, and back on the hunt for some GENUINE Ambers.

There is a moral to this story, when something seems to good to be true it normally is, the only rear lights that look right and FIT right are genuine Ford ones. Luckily for you the seller has done the right thing.
Why not stick with your smoked rears, they were a Ford option from new so will never look out of place. I have not grown tired of them on my diamond white 2wd in the 21 years I have owned it.

Pretty Much... Seller couldn't have been better to resolve the situation.

I just prefer Amber TBH, Makes the car look a bit different. (99% of Saph seems to have Smoked over here)

You have it 21 years? Serious dedication, I'm only 21 myself!

You make me feel old! When I was your age I was driving a Ford Anglia 105e with a Cortina GT engine and gearbox, Lotus Cortina wheels etc which went well for the time. Always been a Ford man, had a Cortina 1600e with a 1760 cc Crossflow stage 3 engine, Mark 1 V6 Capri with a lot of modifications from Swaymar Engineering, Lotus Cortina mk2 with the big valve Lotus Elan engine in it and a Geoff Uren Cortina 1600e based V6 Savage. They were all great Fords but none of them compare to my 450bhp Sapphire 2wd for pure power and fun.

I'm the same as you mate much prefer the ambers to the smoked lights. I bought a brand new pair of non genuine ones and they fitted perfectly no filing holes ect.

They were never an 'option', they just came on every Sierra from the time of the 1990 facelift.

I stand corrected, I thought you had the choice of normal rear lights or the smoked ones when you ordered your car.
