Default Gearbox end gasket

Hi People. Second post here so Howdy!

Relatively competent with my cars, done all the work on the cars ive owned, Xsara, Corsa, Cinquecento, Megane and now the Ka. Upuntill the Ka the Cinq' was my favourite but now the Ka has the comfort of the Megane, but handling of the Cinq', its great!

Anyhow ive got a gearbox oil leak from my Ka.

It appears to be coming form the end cover. Looks like an easy peasy job, going to do drive-shaft seals whilst im at it. However i keep referring to it as 'end cover' i have no idea of its proper name so can't find the correct gasket on various on stores.

Could anyone tell me what it is actually called so i can get the right gasket? Or even a part number?

Its a 2003 1.3 duratec 5 speed manual.

Thanks all Stephen.

Arrowed the area i mean

I've never seen one leak there, just use some sealer instead.

Ive never just applied instant gasket to a failed gasket. Would you just apply of over the original gasket or remove it and just use the sealant? Seems a bit of a bodge to be truthful.

This looks different:

Im sure you could walk into Ford and get one pretty easily. Ive heard of others having a leak there.

Thats brilliant, cheers lads.

Me again fellas. Sorry to be a pain, hating trying to source parts for news cars always concerened ill get the wrong type. Dont know why always find gearbox related items much more difficult. Anyhow seeing as ill be doing the above gasket and drive-shaft seals thought i may as well do the gear selector on the bottom of the box whilst im there.

My question ive found this,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Fiest...item1c45ee65fc

It is right for my KA where the seal is built into the rubber boot? (second image) All other things like this ive seen and work on the seal has been independent to the boot. This is a little new to me.

Thanks again all, again its a 2003 1.3 duratec 5 speed manual.
