Default Ford Key Fob Sticking On Lock Door

Hi All,

I have one of the keys below shown in this image:-

The lock button is sticking and won’t allow me to open the car most of the time.

I have opened it up and the switch on the PCB is stuck down and doesn’t click like the others.

What is the cheapest and easiest way of getting this working again.

Can I just by a whole new PCB will this work?

Thanks

JON

I've just bought a new key on ebay for £2/3, it comes with an empty bit to stick your pcb into, and an uncut key. Still need to find somewhere that will cut old ford keys tho. If you're pcb is knackered probably gonna be looking at a lot more money for a new one and getting it all coded

I have totally broke the button off the PCB now i tried to get the metal case off but ended up pulling the button off all together.

Looks a little like the image below now:-

So the question is can i buy another PCB and slot it in ?

Or

Can i buy a second hand key and put the PCB in my key from that one ?

Any hits and tips welcome

Not 100% but I think you'll be looking at a bit of money to get it programmed unless you can use your main key to program the new one yourself
