Default Newbie - 4x4 propshaft hex rubber

Hi, ive not had my 1990 4x4 saph long. I am getting a slight vibrating on the back end when high up the rev range and upon inspection have found the hexagonal propshaft rubber demolished which i am assuming is the most possible cause.

I have looked around and these are near on impossible to find?

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a replacement part or available conversion to a newer type?

Thanks in advance

From looking into it the escort ones are totally different.
Youve got to change the output shaft bolts and change the front section of the rear prop to an escort one which aint gona be cheap!

Surely someone has manufactured replacement rubbers or offers a conversion kit... this must be a common fault?

It's a bit of rubber. No changing stuff about other than the rubber

It's got 6 holes in it, 3 from the prop and 3 from the gearbox output flange

This is a pic I've found on the forum of an escort rubber fitted to a saph... The shaft centres don't connect In any way.

Totally different as the saph one has a bush to insert the prop and the escort one doesn't as the escort prop is a different end.

The escos one had the bush as it had a longer tailshaft to support it, but I've never had an issue swapping between them

Worth giving Glenn a shout as he had this issue a while back

That picture is wrong !!
You cannot have it like that .

Either prop locates in donut and on the gearbox as per hexagonal one
Or

Prop locates back of gearbox with the circular donut around it as per escort cosworth
