When I changed my L6 ecu to a L8 ecu on my 2wd I got a secondhand one and it has been no problem. They are a robust item which rarely go wrong, try the Cosworth breakers.

There a guy called Clint gaskin who now makes a connector that converts a PF01 in to a PF09 for Ł25 so no need to change, he trades unrder brands hatch performance or look for him on FB.

If, say, changing from a L6 to an L8 ECU, you need to change the TPS and the wiring. The loom on ebay addresses the wiring only.

This is not a wiring change over loom, it has a PCB to convert the voltage.

If you're asking me, I'm just on the other side of the sea...in Denmark

But still I need to find out about this as I suspect that I have a problem with my TPS

Clints lead is just a swap of lead to save you from having to open the plug up and swap pins, very usefull but it does not contain any form of chip,

you can use a pf01 switch still, swap the wires and then all you need to do is move the switch slightly so that it has passed the cut off part, out a volt meter on the back of the ecu plug and test for 5v when the throttle is closed.

the reason for this is that the pf01 has a break in the internal resistor board that at idle on a L6 or L1 ecu shows a high resistance of about 5k ohms that the L8 does not like as it sees it as a fault

Its not a pin swap lead as said before,

Taken from his FB post

''I have a new lead that converts a PF01 Throttle Sensor into a PF09 so when you fit a L8 or P8 to a 2wd Engine you don't have to do buy an expensive PF09 or swap any wiring about. I have been testing this for a few months now and originally made up a batch of 10 cables for testing, I am going to give the ok to produce more this week but if anyone wants one of the 6 test cables I have left I will do them for Ł25 each.''
