My first race weekend of the season ended with a fantastic 3rd place and only my second podium in 5 years of racing
The weekend started badly when I put brand new plugs in after qualifying and they didn't work at all on boost in race one so I retired on lap one gutted
Today after refitting the old plugs I started 9th after a poor 2nd qualifying time, but it all came good in the race, an awesome start got me to 3rd by the first corner then up to 2nd halfway round lap 1, lost that place a few laps later after a fluffled gearchange, then had a titanic battle with a BMW M3 but held on to finish 3rd
very happy how the weekend ended

excellent finish steve ,sounds like the new beam is paying dividends already

 

Cheers James, Yes the rear of the car was far more stable, went half a second quicker than last year and I was on last years tyres!
