Recently got the car up and running.

I have had the car running but it takes some starting and sometimes it just won't fire.

sometimes the pump primes and sometimes it doesn't, weather its due to having sufficient fuel in the rail i don't know.

when priming it's as if there's air in the fuel rail, if you put your ear to the fpr it's as if theirs an air leak but no fuel is leaking from anywhere - there fuel going in to the rail and when the car is off nothing at all comes out of the fpr

I can't remember some of the characteristics of these motors as it's been a while since running should the pump prime everytime?

 

It should pump every time, but will only do so upon receipt of signal from the CPS, so I would be looking toward this.

The pressure is irrelevant.
