went to get a chipped ecu fitted and setup. unfortunately the ecu appears to be from a series 1 but they still tested everything and set it up anyway with the chip it had on it (didnt know it had one on it )
and the comments i received from them has made me love me car even more

Glad you are pleased!!

Your RST really is the nicest original unrestored S2 we have seen. Everything was nice and tight, just like it would have been from new. There really aren't many around like that anymore.

Regarding the ECU, we couldn't say with 100% certainty that it is an S1. Perhaps it would be a good idea to take a photo of it and put it on here (I will put it up if you dont know how) and the maybe someone can firmly recognise it.

 

i do wanna sell it but will post pic of it first so that it can be firmly identified. but i will want Ł90 for it. that includes postage.

looking for Ł90 if anyone wants it. i think its a series 1 ecu with ahmed bayjoo chip but if anyone can tell for sure.

It looks like a early s2 like around the d reg. mark or so i've had a few of these in the past and passed them on 90 quid is a really good price m8 you should get it easy would have asked for 120 if its a genuine ahmed bayoo, coz he does some good stuff

 

Well, I can clarify that it is DEFO Ahmed Bayjoo. I figured it was an early ECU, just couldn't say with certainty that it was S1 or S2.

 

if it is an early S2 ecu why is it so different to my 90 spec ecu???? surely they should be almost identical???

yeah thats an early s2 blue red and white. the s1 is blue red and blue i think. don`t think they`re compatble i think the pin configuration is different??

 

had mine done at apt daz, u cant go wrong there mate, mine runs spot on after i took it to them last week, but i killed my turbo in a day!!, (running 21psi on a smokey turbo!), gotta a new turbo now so its better then ever!!.

 

my ecu is like that but has some small circuit boards sticking out of the main board
