Yeah I've seen a few different effects that look good but I think I'll stick with the black

I got my mate to bead blast all my pulleys at work.
Then I use hammerite smooth spray paint .
It's a lovely finish looks like powder coat and lasts well.

It's a really runny paint out I put light coats on everynigjt for a week and they came out perfect !

Yeah I did this when I replaced my rear beam, painted in in hammerite black smooth and it looked just like it was powder coated. That was like 5 years ago and it still looks good

Did you use hammerite smooth black? Was it a spray you used? I tried this once. The paint seemed to have almost no pigment even after much shaking it still had terrible coverage.

Yeah hammerite smooth black. Sprayed it on, primered it first with grey primer and then good few coats of paint. Still looks good now years on

Send it to Peterborough plating for bright nikel coating. It's what we do with all our std pulleys now. Unless you want black then blast and paint. But remember to remove the paint from the crank sensor pic ups on the crank pulley

That would look smart all the pulleys shiny nickel plated. Look like a brand new car under the bonnet then
