I'm going to lower my Mondy and I just wanted to know if anyone has used Apex lowering springs or should I just get some Spax springs??

The Apex ones are £50 cheaper and have a 5 year warranty, but are they any good??

there is a reason they are cheaper mainly due to being poor, spax, eibach, H&R are way better

 

Been looking at review's for you mate, many people say they are good and impressed with then but some say not as good as eibach! But then agian eibach are more money, so value for money wise they seem pretty good! And with a 5 year warranty, its not like there gonna be shit!

I also had a butchers and pretty much all of the reviews sounded good. Plus like you say, with a good warranty they must be confident in what they sell. I looked at reviews of the Spax ones too and there was a couple of bad ones, but you'll get that with anything!!

 

One thing I would say for handling I wouldn't go too low, 40mm or less really, especially if you are sticking with the factory dampers. I would stick to the large well known brands that have good reputations, although apex's should be ok as they are a large brand.

 

I fitted apex to my escort gti. Load of shite. The car did'nt look right on them with the front sitting too high.

 

I fitted Apex springs to my Mondeo Mk2 few years ago and they were ok. I wasn't looking to lower my car, but a broken front spring forced the issue, so buying a full set of Apex springs was just a bit more than 2 standard front springs (as I would replaced in pairs at least). Also having a broken spring makes you worry about the state of the other 3!!!
On my Mondeo it reduced the massive wheel to wing gap on the front, which always bugged me.
As said, heard good things about eibach and H&R, but you pays your money......
