Default Good 2wd head gasket

Going for some head work and will need a good head gasket and bolts after as it'd only a 205 block can any one recommend please.

ybo 611 (group A) or a standard small turbo escort cosworths one will be fine with standard genuine ford bolts
get them and all your cosworths parts from matt lewis motorsport

Was thinking along the lines or wrc gasket. And I very much dout I'll be able to source genuine ford head bolts

You need to get the block decked if you want to use a WRC head gasket.

The group a from Matt Lewis will be sweet mate

as for the wrc gasket yes if the head and block have been skimmed prior to fitting it if not then no, use what I've suggested above

Matt Lewis does the group a head gasket with bolts as a set for Ł65 delivered. Job jobbed.

if you are getting head work done, you may as well skim the head and then use a wrc gasket

So thats one flat surface, what about the block? that usually ends up around 4thou shallow around the centre head bolts. Unless you skim both surfaces flat i wouldn't use a metal style gasket,

I agree with you, I had a new 200 block, wire rung with a group A specification cylinder head with a group A head gasket fitted 15 years ago, run T38 with 2 bar boost and have never had a head gasket failure.
