Default mondeo tdci 130psi engine problems HELP PLZ

Hi to all I have a 53 plate Mondeo tdci 130 break 6 speed the car starts fine ish with some smoke and after 10minuits on ttick over the coil light comes on I have had many parts replaced the egr valve was the
First then the diesel pump that wasn't cheap for a new 1 then I was told it was the injectors so I had four new 1s fitted. And recoded car was fine for about 3 days then started playing up again had the injectors recoded again few days later same problem happened starts with grey/whit smoke clears then the coil light flashes and it starts smoking again after spending 2000 on getting the car this far don't want to give up douse any body have any idea why it keeps losseing the injector codes could it be my ecu at fault any advise would be much apresheated many thanks

Hi mate had an 05 tdci focus pump went changed it ok for abit then it went again was under waruntee but they didnt honour it saying the whole fuel system tank lines the lot would be contaminated with metal fragments when the original pump ate itself funny they sell the pumps seperate aye wankers at 750 a pop for a pump i retired the car she was 200k +

Thanks for the reply mine has just hit 10070 miles is the injector wiring loom separated from the rest of the loom I have no idea I've changed most of what it could be I'm out of ideas no reallyv

I believe its a small loom that plugs into the main engine loom.

Thanjs for that ill have a look tomorrow the person that did the injectors for me said he had to re wire the ends for the injectors but ill have a look further back thanks

Drain the fuel filter into a clear bag and let it sit for 30 mins. Check the bottom of the clear bag for any signs of alloy fillings and if there is any sign of alloy you need to get the full fuel system cleaned out. If you ever get a pump giving up its best to flush the full system before running the car again because when the pump lets go it usually sends small alloy particles through the system and blocks the injectors.

I see your point there but I dont think my old pump failed they replaced it because they thought that was the problem and it was still the same then I had all four injectors changed as they said that was the problem and it was fine for 3 days had the new Injectors coded again and it went away then come back again its like it keep loosening the code for 1 of the injectors just dont see why

Ok mate i am with you now........... i look after a few work transits and one of ours was doing the same thing. Get it back onto a diag machine to see which injector is at fault and replace it because the issue was with the electronic part of the injector and a new one sorted it out.

It was number 3 injector this is the second new 1 its had the first time I just changed no3 then it happened again thinking id was a bad new injector I sent it back as it was under warranty then changed the lot of them as it wasn't much difference to change the four of them 500 plus fitting labour the problem goes away after you have them recoded then just comes back after a few days im come to a brick wall with it dont no what to think or try next all the parts ive put on are new so ot cant be bad parts plus it goes then comes back after a recode

Have you plugged it in with a Ford specific diagnostics tool like forscan?

Yes. Cheaper generic OBD readers don't pick up codes that some others do.

The first time I sent it on was to ford they said it was the injectors it keeps coming up with the same problem each time I get it recoded it goes then comes back im at my wits end with it dont no what yo try

A car with diesel engine sold in 2003 does not have to comply to the EOBD rules. That starts for diesels in 2004.
As said it would be better to use a Ford specific scanner.
