Drain the fuel filter into a clear bag and let it sit for 30 mins. Check the bottom of the clear bag for any signs of alloy fillings and if there is any sign of alloy you need to get the full fuel system cleaned out. If you ever get a pump giving up its best to flush the full system before running the car again because when the pump lets go it usually sends small alloy particles through the system and blocks the injectors.
