Default rear wheel twisting in?

hi, just sold my runabout to my mate its an mk4 xr3i, the thing is that he picked me up in it today and noticed when we went over a bump the rear of the car skipped across the road!, looked at the rear passengers side wheel and its pointing in towards the car looking from the back of the car, not cambering, but not straight in line with car body.

the wheel isnt buckled coz the drum is pointing in aswell, havent really played about with the rear drums/suspension on a mk4 before not even on my s2 so any ideas what it could be? there isnt anything loose and theres nothing knocking!,

think he could of hit it from underneath on a speed bump but he cant remember, cant i just smack it with a sledge hammer ti straighten it up for him?

you can re arrange the washers on the back of these or modify them for threads
probably some accident damage
