Hi Guys, I'm new to the site and hope someone can help me with a problem I'm having with the wife's 11plate zetec s. The car will start to misfire, usually just before you're planning to stop, hence coming onto the drive. Blipping the throttle doesn't clear it and if you turn the ignition off the engine runs on for 2 to 3 seconds still misfiring. When you start the car back up, it's firing on all four again!

Help please!

 

Surely turning ignition off turns ecu off and hence the injectors, so how is it running without fuel......
