Default In tank fuel pump upgrade needed for 24v v6

It's a standard 2.0 8v fuel pump running a v6 Cosworth which has just started to splutter at high revs so i'm thinking it's time for an upgrade.
Someone suggested using and Escort Cosworth fuel pump as that's also the in tank pump type.
Would this be a straight swap as i can't find any info on the web?

I fitted a genuine fuel filter about 6 weeks ago and the tank ain't that old either. I'm guessing the pump is 22 year old and tired maybe?
It's running standard injectors and all service items were changed when i did the filter.
