Can anyone please explain to me why nobody has developed a cosworth motor for the focus rs ? I see cosworth do something with Subaru and Mitsubishi (jap crap) but not ford ??? Is there no call for it or something ?
Also can someone explain to me why WRC seem to only be using small cars in rallying now I.e polo's,fabia's,etc ?
I can only think why cosworth haven't developed these engines further is due to no demand or evolution I.e hybrid cars ???

Cosworth is a privately owned company
If nobody has paid them to develop an engine for ford then they wouldn't waste their own resources doing so.
very simple really.
WRC is using smaller cars as manufacturers see it as more relevant to the market the manufacturers wish to influence

Ford are only interested in selling cars and making profit. So as long as an Rs or St badge is on the back and a Volvo engine sells cars it's not in there interest
