Hi all problems again... today when i made my usual commute to work a warning light was flashing on my dash (Engine failure check owners manual) for about ten seconds and went off and the car lost power in the process. it was cog shaped with an explanation mark in the middle And after reading a few threads i believe its called the powertrain control light (pcm) but not 100% as i dont have a manual for the car it also happened on the way home... any ideas what is please as i dont wanna drive it again and damage the engine In any way...

 

Only way to find out is to have the fault codes read.

 

My mate had his snap on code reader on it earlier no fault codes at all...

 

Had 2 diagnostics done both said its a glow plug problem....

 

Check the glow plug relay

 

Hi bram thanks for replying. I was gonna check it 2moro but not sure where it is im looking at the haynes manual but its a bit vague with its pictures... any ideas???

 

Not 100% but I think it is on the side of the battery box That's if its a 1.4tdci
